The short version

Self-hosted: your conversations stay on your server — we never see them. Managed: we host your data but never access your conversations unless you ask us to help troubleshoot.

1. What We Collect

When you subscribe to the managed plan, we collect:

  • Email address — provided at checkout for account setup and receipts
  • Payment information — processed by Stripe; we do not store card numbers or bank details

Self-hosted users: we collect nothing. The Docker image runs entirely on your infrastructure with no callbacks to our servers.

2. What We Don't Collect

  • We do not track visitors to your website through the chat widget
  • We do not read or access your customer support conversations
  • We do not use analytics trackers, cookies, or fingerprinting on the chat widget
  • We do not sell or share any data with third parties for marketing

3. Data Architecture

Self-hosted: All conversations, message content, and user metadata are stored in a SQLite database on your infrastructure. We have zero access.

Managed: We host a dedicated instance for you. Your data is stored on our infrastructure and is isolated from other customers. We do not access your conversations except at your explicit request for troubleshooting. You can request a full data export at any time.

We retain your email and subscription information for as long as your managed plan is active. If you cancel, we delete your data within 30 days unless you request an export first.

You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@buzz-line.com. We will respond within 14 days.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to managed plan subscribers.
